സിംധു സുതാ വിഷ്ണുപ്രിയേ നത ശിര ബാരംബാര ।
ഋദ്ധി സിദ്ധി മംഗലപ്രദേ നത ശിര ബാരംബാര ॥ ടേക ॥
O daughter of the ocean, beloved of Vishnu, I bow my head repeatedly. O bestower of prosperity, accomplishments, and auspiciousness, I bow my head repeatedly.
സിന്ധു സുതാ മൈം സുമിരൌം തോഹീ । ജ്ഞാന ബുദ്ധി വിദ്യാ ദോ മോഹി ॥
O daughter of the ocean, I remember you. Grant me knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom.
തുമ സമാന നഹിം കോഈ ഉപകാരീ । സബ വിധി പുരബഹു ആസ ഹമാരീ ॥
There is no benefactor equal to you. Fulfill our hopes in every way.
ജൈ ജൈ ജഗത ജനനി ജഗദമ്ബാ । സബകേ തുമഹീ ഹോ സ്വലമ്ബാ ॥
Victory, victory to the Mother of the world, Jagadamba. You alone are the support of everyone.
തുമ ഹീ ഹോ ഘട ഘട കേ വാസീ । വിനതീ യഹീ ഹമാരീ ഖാസീ ॥
You alone reside in every heart. This is my special prayer to you.
ജഗ ജനനീ ജയ സിന്ധു കുമാരീ । ദീനന കീ തുമ ഹോ ഹിതകാരീ ॥
Victory to the mother of the world, daughter of the ocean. You are the benefactor of the destitute.
വിനവൌം നിത്യ തുമഹിം മഹാരാനീ । കൃപാ കരൌ ജഗ ജനനി ഭവാനീ ॥

കേഹി വിധി സ്തുതി കരൌം തിഹാരീ । സുധി ലീജൈ അപരാധ ബിസാരീ ॥
How should I sing your praises? Remember me and forget my offenses.
കൃപാ ദൃഷ്ടി ചിതവോ മമ ഓരീ । ജഗത ജനനി വിനതീ സുന മോരീ ॥
Cast a glance of grace towards me. O mother of the world, listen to my prayer.
ജ്ഞാന ബുദ്ധി ജയ സുഖ കീ ദാതാ । സംകട ഹരോ ഹമാരീ മാതാ ॥
O giver of knowledge, intelligence, victory, and happiness, O Mother, remove our afflictions.
ക്ഷീര സിംധു ജബ വിഷ്ണു മഥായോ । ചൌദഹ രത്ന സിംധു മേം പായോ ॥
When Vishnu churned the milky ocean, fourteen gems were found in the ocean.
ചൌദഹ രത്ന മേം തുമ സുഖരാസീ । സേവാ കിയോ പ്രഭുഹിം ബനി ദാസീ ॥
Among the fourteen gems, you are the mine of happiness. You became a servant and served the Lord.
ജബ ജബ ജന്മ ജഹാം പ്രഭു ലീന്ഹാ । രൂപ ബദല തഹം സേവാ കീന്ഹാ ॥
Wherever and whenever the Lord took birth, you changed your form and served Him there.
സ്വയം വിഷ്ണു ജബ നര തനു ധാരാ । ലീന്ഹേഉ അവധപുരീ അവതാരാ ॥
When Vishnu Himself took a human form and incarnated in the city of Ayodhya...
തബ തുമ പ്രകട ജനകപുര മാഹീം । സേവാ കിയോ ഹൃദയ പുലകാഹീം ॥
Then you manifested in Janakpur and served Him, your heart thrilled with joy.
അപനായോ തോഹി അന്തര്യാമീ । വിശ്വ വിദിത ത്രിഭുവന കീ സ്വാമീ ॥
The knower of hearts (Vishnu) adopted you, the globally renowned Lord of the three worlds.
തുമ സബ പ്രബല ശക്തി നഹിം ആനീ । കഹഁ തക മഹിമാ കഹൌം ബഖാനീ ॥
Your great power is unparalleled. How far can I describe your glory?
മന ക്രമ വചന കരൈ സേവകാഈ । മന-ഇച്ഛിത വാംഛിത ഫല പാഈ ॥
Whoever serves you with mind, deeds, and words, attains their desired fruits.
തജി ഛല കപട ഔര ചതുരാഈ । പൂജഹിം വിവിധ ഭാഁതി മന ലാഈ ॥
Abandoning deceit, fraud, and cleverness, those who worship you in various ways with a focused mind...
ഔര ഹാല മൈം കഹൌം ബുഝാഈ । ജോ യഹ പാഠ കരേ മന ലാഈ ॥
And I will explain another state: whoever recites this text with a focused mind...
താകോ കോഈ കഷ്ട ന ഹോഈ । മന ഇച്ഛിത ഫല പാവൈ ഫല സോഈ ॥
No distress will come to them, and they will attain the exact desired fruit.
ത്രാഹി-ത്രാഹി ജയ ദുഃഖ നിവാരിണീ । ത്രിവിധ താപ ഭവ ബംധന ഹാരിണി ॥
Save me, save me, O destroyer of sorrows! Victory to the destroyer of the three types of miseries and worldly bonds!
ജോ യഹ ചാലീസാ പഢ़േ ഔര പഢ़ാവേ । ഇസേ ധ്യാന ലഗാകര സുനേ സുനാവൈ ॥
Whoever reads or makes others read this Chalisa, or listens or makes others listen to it attentively...
താകോ കോഈ ന രോഗ സതാവൈ । പുത്ര ആദി ധന സമ്പത്തി പാവൈ ॥
No disease will ever trouble them; they will attain children, wealth, and property.
പുത്ര ഹീന ഔര സമ്പത്തി ഹീനാ । അന്ധാ ബധിര കോഢ़ീ അതി ദീനാ ॥
Those who are sonless, devoid of wealth, blind, deaf, leprous, or extremely destitute...
വിപ്ര ബോലായ കൈ പാഠ കരാവൈ । ശംകാ ദില മേം കഭീ ന ലാവൈ ॥
Should call a Brahmin and have this recited, never bringing any doubt into their heart.
പാഠ കരാവൈ ദിന ചാലീസാ । താ പര കൃപാ കരൈം ഗൌരീസാ ॥
If one has it recited for forty days, the Lord of Gauri (Shiva) will bestow grace upon them.
സുഖ സമ്പത്തി ബഹുത സീ പാവൈ । കമീ നഹീം കാഹൂ കീ ആവൈ ॥
They will attain immense happiness and wealth, and no shortage will ever come to them.
ബാരഹ മാസ കരൈ ജോ പൂജാ । തേഹി സമ ധന്യ ഔര നഹിം ദൂജാ ॥
Whoever performs worship for twelve months, there is no one else as blessed as them.
പ്രതിദിന പാഠ കരൈ മന മാഹീം । ഉന സമ കോഈ ജഗ മേം നാഹിം ॥
Whoever recites it daily in their mind, there is no one like them in the world.
ബഹു വിധി ക്യാ മൈം കരൌം ബഡ़ാഈ । ലേയ പരീക്ഷാ ധ്യാന ലഗാഈ ॥
How much more can I praise you in various ways? Take a test by focusing your mind.
കരി വിശ്വാസ കരൈം വ്രത നേമാ । ഹോയ സിദ്ധ ഉപജൈ ഉര പ്രേമാ ॥
Perform vows and rules with faith, it will become successful and love will arise in the heart.
ജയ ജയ ജയ ലക്ഷ്മീ മഹാരാനീ । സബ മേം വ്യാപിത ജോ ഗുണ ഖാനീ ॥
Victory, victory, victory to the great queen Lakshmi, who is the mine of virtues pervading in all.
തുമ്ഹരോ തേജ പ്രബല ജഗ മാഹീം । തുമ സമ കോഉ ദയാല കഹൂഁ നാഹീം ॥
Your radiance is powerful in the world; there is no one as merciful as you anywhere.
മോഹി അനാഥ കീ സുധി അബ ലീജൈ । സംകട കാടി ഭക്തി മോഹി ദീജേ ॥
Now, please take care of me, an orphan. Remove my distress and grant me devotion.
ഭൂല ചൂക കരീ ക്ഷമാ ഹമാരീ । ദര്ശന ദീജൈ ദശാ നിഹാരീ ॥
Forgive our mistakes and omissions. Give me your vision, observing my state.
ബിന ദരശന വ്യാകുല അധികാരീ । തുമഹിം അക്ഷത ദുഃഖ സഹതേ ഭാരീ ॥
Without your vision, this rightful one is restless. Remaining intact, I am bearing immense sorrow.
നഹിം മോഹിം ജ്ഞാന ബുദ്ധി ഹൈ തന മേം । സബ ജാനത ഹോ അപനേ മന മേം ॥
There is no knowledge or intelligence in my body, but you know everything in your own mind.
രൂപ ചതുര്ഭുജ കരകേ ധാരണ । കഷ്ട മോര അബ കരഹു നിവാരണ ॥
Taking a four-armed form, please relieve my distress now.
കഹി പ്രകാര മൈം കരൌം ബഡ़ാഈ । ജ്ഞാന ബുദ്ധി മോഹിം നഹിം അധികാഈ ॥
In what ways can I praise you? I do not have much knowledge and intelligence.
രാമദാസ അബ കഹൈ പുകാരീ । കരോ ദൂര തുമ വിപതി ഹമാരീ ॥
