সিন্ধু সুতা মৈং সুমিরৌং তোহী । জ্ঞান বুদ্ধি বিদ্যা দো মোহি ॥
O daughter of the ocean, I remember you. Grant me knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom.
তুম সমান নহিং কোঈ উপকারী । সব বিধি পুরবহু আস হমারী ॥
There is no benefactor equal to you. Fulfill our hopes in every way.
জৈ জৈ জগত জননি জগদম্বা । সবকে তুমহী হো স্বলম্বা ॥
Victory, victory to the Mother of the world, Jagadamba. You alone are the support of everyone.
তুম হী হো ঘট ঘট কে বাসী । বিনতী যহী হমারী খাসী ॥

জগ জননী জয সিন্ধু কুমারী । দীনন কী তুম হো হিতকারী ॥

ক্ষীর সিংধু জব বিষ্ণু মথাযো । চৌদহ রত্ন সিংধু মেং পাযো ॥

চৌদহ রত্ন মেং তুম সুখরাসী । সেবা কিযো প্রভুহিং বনি দাসী ॥
Among the fourteen gems, you are the mine of happiness. You became a servant and served the Lord.
জব জব জন্ম জহাং প্রভু লীন্হা । রূপ বদল তহং সেবা কীন্হা ॥
Wherever and whenever the Lord took birth, you changed your form and served Him there.
স্বযং বিষ্ণু জব নর তনু ধারা । লীন্হেউ অবধপুরী অবতারা ॥
When Vishnu Himself took a human form and incarnated in the city of Ayodhya...
তব তুম প্রকট জনকপুর মাহীং । সেবা কিযো হৃদয পুলকাহীং ॥
Then you manifested in Janakpur and served Him, your heart thrilled with joy.
অপনাযো তোহি অন্তর্যামী । বিশ্ব বিদিত ত্রিভুবন কী স্বামী ॥
The knower of hearts (Vishnu) adopted you, the globally renowned Lord of the three worlds.
তুম সব প্রবল শক্তি নহিং আনী । কহঁ তক মহিমা কহৌং বখানী ॥
Your great power is unparalleled. How far can I describe your glory?
মন ক্রম বচন করৈ সেবকাঈ । মন-ইচ্ছিত বাংছিত ফল পাঈ ॥
Whoever serves you with mind, deeds, and words, attains their desired fruits.
তজি ছল কপট ঔর চতুরাঈ । পূজহিং বিবিধ ভাঁতি মন লাঈ ॥
Abandoning deceit, fraud, and cleverness, those who worship you in various ways with a focused mind...
ঔর হাল মৈং কহৌং বুঝাঈ । জো যহ পাঠ করে মন লাঈ ॥
And I will explain another state: whoever recites this text with a focused mind...
তাকো কোঈ কষ্ট ন হোঈ । মন ইচ্ছিত ফল পাবৈ ফল সোঈ ॥
No distress will come to them, and they will attain the exact desired fruit.
ত্রাহি-ত্রাহি জয দুঃখ নিবারিণী । ত্রিবিধ তাপ ভব বংধন হারিণি ॥
Save me, save me, O destroyer of sorrows! Victory to the destroyer of the three types of miseries and worldly bonds!
জো যহ চালীসা পঢ़ে ঔর পঢ़াবে । ইসে ধ্যান লগাকর সুনে সুনাবৈ ॥
Whoever reads or makes others read this Chalisa, or listens or makes others listen to it attentively...
তাকো কোঈ ন রোগ সতাবৈ । পুত্র আদি ধন সম্পত্তি পাবৈ ॥
No disease will ever trouble them; they will attain children, wealth, and property.
পুত্র হীন ঔর সম্পত্তি হীনা । অন্ধা বধির কোঢ़ী অতি দীনা ॥
Those who are sonless, devoid of wealth, blind, deaf, leprous, or extremely destitute...
বিপ্র বোলায কৈ পাঠ করাবৈ । শংকা দিল মেং কভী ন লাবৈ ॥
Should call a Brahmin and have this recited, never bringing any doubt into their heart.
পাঠ করাবৈ দিন চালীসা । তা পর কৃপা করৈং গৌরীসা ॥
If one has it recited for forty days, the Lord of Gauri (Shiva) will bestow grace upon them.
সুখ সম্পত্তি বহুত সী পাবৈ । কমী নহীং কাহূ কী আবৈ ॥
They will attain immense happiness and wealth, and no shortage will ever come to them.
বারহ মাস করৈ জো পূজা । তেহি সম ধন্য ঔর নহিং দূজা ॥
Whoever performs worship for twelve months, there is no one else as blessed as them.
প্রতিদিন পাঠ করৈ মন মাহীং । উন সম কোঈ জগ মেং নাহিং ॥
Whoever recites it daily in their mind, there is no one like them in the world.
বহু বিধি ক্যা মৈং করৌং বড़াঈ । লেয পরীক্ষা ধ্যান লগাঈ ॥
How much more can I praise you in various ways? Take a test by focusing your mind.
করি বিশ্বাস করৈং ব্রত নেমা । হোয সিদ্ধ উপজৈ উর প্রেমা ॥
Perform vows and rules with faith, it will become successful and love will arise in the heart.
জয জয জয লক্ষ্মী মহারানী । সব মেং ব্যাপিত জো গুণ খানী ॥

তুম্হরো তেজ প্রবল জগ মাহীং । তুম সম কোউ দযাল কহূঁ নাহীং ॥

ভূল চূক করী ক্ষমা হমারী । দর্শন দীজৈ দশা নিহারী ॥

বিন দরশন ব্যাকুল অধিকারী । তুমহিং অক্ষত দুঃখ সহতে ভারী ॥
Without your vision, this rightful one is restless. Remaining intact, I am bearing immense sorrow.
নহিং মোহিং জ্ঞান বুদ্ধি হৈ তন মেং । সব জানত হো অপনে মন মেং ॥
There is no knowledge or intelligence in my body, but you know everything in your own mind.
রূপ চতুর্ভুজ করকে ধারণ । কষ্ট মোর অব করহু নিবারণ ॥
Taking a four-armed form, please relieve my distress now.
কহি প্রকার মৈং করৌং বড़াঈ । জ্ঞান বুদ্ধি মোহিং নহিং অধিকাঈ ॥
In what ways can I praise you? I do not have much knowledge and intelligence.
রামদাস অব কহৈ পুকারী । করো দূর তুম বিপতি হমারী ॥
