Om. May the Supreme Lord, who is the pre-eminent among the Vedas, whose form is the universe, and who has emerged as the immortal essence from the Vedas, bless me with intelligence. O Lord, may I become the bearer of the immortal revelation. May my body be fit and active. May my tongue be supremely sweet. May I hear abundantly with my ears. You are the sheath of Brahman, concealed by worldly intelligence. Please protect what I have heard. Om. Peace! Peace! Peace!

Om. May the Goddess of Intelligence, favorably disposed, all-pervading, auspicious, and benevolent, come to us. Endowed with your grace, rejecting evil words, may we speak with strength and courage in the assembly. O Goddess, favored by you, one becomes a Rishi, one becomes a Brahma (creator), and one acquires prosperity. Favored by you, one obtains manifold wealth. O Goddess of Intelligence, grant us that wealth.

May Indra grant me intelligence; may the Goddess Saraswati grant me intelligence. May the twin Ashvins, wearing garlands of lotuses, bestow intelligence upon me. The intelligence that exists in the Apsaras, and the mind that is in the Gandharvas, that divine intelligence of Saraswati, which is fragrant and radiant, may it reside in me. Svaha.

May that Intelligence, which is fragrant, of universal form, golden-hued, all-pervading, and accessible, come to me. May that Intelligence, full of vigor, nourishing with milk, and of a beautiful countenance, favor me. May Agni (Fire) establish in me intelligence, progeny, and brilliance. May Indra establish in me intelligence, progeny, and vigor of the senses. May Surya (Sun) establish in me intelligence, progeny, and radiant luster.

Om. Let us know the Great Goddess, and meditate upon the consort of Brahma. May that Goddess of Speech (Saraswati) inspire us. Om. Let us know the Supreme Swan (Hamsa), and meditate upon the Paramahamsa. May that Swan inspire us.
