ശ്രീ സ്വാമിനാഥ പഞ്ചകമ്

O Lord Swaminatha, friend of the distressed, whose body is smeared with sacred ash, son of Ganga, and ocean of compassion! I bow to you, O wearer of Rudraksha beads. Please remove the fierce disease of my ego, O Guru of Shiva (the destroyer of Tripuras). I worship you, O Kumara, who possesses a face radiant like the full moon, beauty surpassing Cupid, and the power to fulfill all desires.

O son of Lord Shiva (the Conqueror of Time), who dwells on the mountain peaks, please protect me from this terrifying illness, from the faltering of my voice, and from the difficult, trying times of this era. I worship you with your auspicious, sidelong glance.

I worship Kartikeya, the one whose disciples include even Brahma and the other gods, whose attendants are the sons of Brahma acting as his steps, whose army consists of all the celestial beings, and whose glories are sung in the Sama Veda and other scriptures.

I worship the sacred son of Shambhu, whose body is draped in saffron robes, who carries a begging bowl to destroy the disease of worldly desire, whose eyes are overflowing with compassion, and whose hand holds the divine Vel (Shakti).

I worship that divine child who dwells on the holy Swamimalai hill, who constantly removes the afflictions of the assembly of saints, who imparts the essence of the Omkara, and who playfully whispers into the ear of Lord Shambhu.

He who reads this magnificent hymn, composed by Dikshita Anantarama, with devotion every morning for the fulfillment of all goals, shall attain the eight supernatural powers (Ashta Siddhis) through the grace of the Lord of Lords.
