ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಾಷ್ಟಕಂ (ರಾಮ ಅಷ್ಟಕಂ)

I worship the uniquely beautiful Lord Rama, the destroyer of all sins, who delights the hearts of His devotees and is eternally non-dual.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, who is adorned with a cluster of matted locks, the destroyer of all sins, and the dispeller of all fears of His devotees.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, who reveals the knowledge of one’s own true nature, who is an ocean of mercy, the remover of the cycle of birth and death, equal to all, auspicious, and untainted by worldly attachments.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, who is always imagined as the manifest world though He is in reality without name and form, who is formless and free from all afflictions.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, who is beyond the phenomenal world, free from all doubts, pure, free from disease, and eternally existing as the embodiment of pure consciousness.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, who acts as a boat to cross the ocean of mundane existence, who dwells within the bodies of all beings, who is a repository of virtues, and an ocean of compassion.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, the supreme Brahman who is all-pervading and who shines through the words of the great Upanishadic teachings.

I worship the non-dual Lord Rama, the glorious teacher who bestows auspiciousness and happiness, severs the bonds of worldly existence, and removes all illusions.

A human being who reads or hears this auspicious and blissful Ramashtakam, composed by Vyasa, attains knowledge, prosperity, abundant happiness, and endless fame, and upon the shedding of the body, attains liberation.
