Rama Ashtakam

I always worship that non-dual Lord Rama, who is especially beautiful, who destroys all sins, and who delights the hearts of His devotees.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who is adorned with matted hair, who destroys all sins, and who shatters the fears of His devotees.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who reveals His own true nature, who is compassionate, who removes the cycle of worldly existence, who is equal to all, auspicious, and untainted.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who, although imagined along with the universe, is truly beyond name and form, formless, and free from afflictions.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who is beyond the universe, changeless, pure, free from afflictions, and who is continuously of the form of pure consciousness.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who is like a boat to cross the ocean of worldly existence, who is imagined in all bodies, who is a mine of virtues, and who is compassionate.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who is made known by the great aphorisms (Mahavakyas), whose shining words and steps are manifest, who is the Supreme Brahman, and who is all-pervading.

I worship that non-dual Lord Rama here, who bestows auspiciousness, who bestows happiness, who cuts off the cycle of birth and death, who removes illusions, and who manifests as the radiant Guru.

Whoever reads or listens to this Rama Ashtakam, which is easily accessible, highly meritorious, and spoken by sage Vyasa, attains knowledge, wealth, immense happiness, and infinite glory, and upon leaving the body, attains liberation.

Thus ends the Rama Ashtakam composed by Sri Vyasa.
