Lord Rama

ekaśloki rāmāyaṇam

(Eka Sloki Ramayanam in English (IAST))

Traditional

Eka Sloki Ramayanam is a concise devotional composition that encapsulates the entire narrative of Valmiki’s epic Ramayana within a single Sanskrit verse. By condensing the life of Lord Rama—from his exile to the forest and the abduction of Sita, to the defeat of Ravana and his eventual coronation—this stotra serves as a powerful mnemonic for devotees. It is traditionally recited during daily puja to invoke the blessings of Maryada Purushottama Rama. Chanting this verse is believed to bestow the spiritual merit equivalent to reading the entire epic, fostering inner discipline, righteousness, and devotion to the Lord.
