śrī guru caraṇa saroja raja, nija manu mukuru sudhāri|
varanaū~ raghuvara vimala jasu, jo dāyaku phala cāri||
Having polished the mirror of my heart with the dust of the holy Guru's lotus feet, I narrate the untainted glory of Raghuvar (Shri Ram), which bestows the four fruits of life.
buddhihīna tanu jānike, sumiro pavana kumāra|
bala buddhi vidyā dehu mohiṃ, harahu kaleśa vikāra||
Knowing this body to be devoid of wisdom, I remember the Son of the Wind (Hanuman). Grant me strength, intelligence, and knowledge, and remove my sufferings and impurities.

jaya hanumāna jñāna guna sāgara| jaya kapīsa tihu~ loka ujāgara||
Victory to Hanuman, the ocean of wisdom and virtues. Victory to the Lord of monkeys, who illuminates the three worlds.
rāma dūta atulita bala dhāmā| aṃjaniputra pavana suta nāmā||
The messenger of Rama, the abode of immeasurable strength; known as the son of Anjani and the son of the Wind-god.
mahāvīra bikrama bajaraṃgī| kumati nivāra sumiti ke saṃgī||
O Great Hero, possessing immense prowess, whose body is as hard as a thunderbolt. You are the remover of evil thoughts and the companion of those with good wisdom.
kaṃcana varana virāja suvesā| kānana kuṃḍala kuṃcita kesā||4||
Of golden complexion, resplendent in beautiful attire, with earrings in [His] ears and curled hair.
hātha bajra au dhvajā virājai| kā~dhe mū~ja janeū sājai||
In your hand shines the mace and the banner, and on your shoulder rests the sacred thread of munja grass.
śaṃkara suvana kesarīnaṃdana| teja pratāpa mahā jaga baṃdana||
Son of Shiva, delight of Kesari. Your immense glory and power are revered by the whole world.
vidyāvāna gunī ati cātura| rāma kāja karibe ko ātura||
He is wise, virtuous, and extremely clever, always eager to perform tasks for Rama.
prabhu caritra sunibe ko rasiyā| rāma lakhana sītā mana basiyā||8||
(He is) ever eager to hear the exploits of the Lord. Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita reside in his heart.
sūkṣma rūpa dhari siyahi dikhāvā| bikaṭa rūpa dhari laṃka jarāvā||
Assuming a subtle form, you showed yourself to Sita; assuming a terrifying form, you burnt Lanka.
bhīma rūpa dhari asura sa~hāre| rāmacaṃndra ke kāja sa~vāre||
Assuming the form of Bhima, you destroyed the demons and accomplished the tasks of Ramchandra.
lāya sajīvana lakhana jiyāye| śrī raghubīra haraṣi ura lāye||
(He) brought the Sanjivani herb and revived Lakshmana; Shri Raghuvira (Rama), overjoyed, embraced him to His heart.
raghupati kīnhī bahuta baḍa़āī| tuma mama priya bharata sama bhāī||12||
Raghupati praised him greatly, saying, "You are as dear to me as my brother Bharat."
sahasa badana tumharo jasa gāvaiṃ| asa kahi śrīpati kaṃṭha lagāvaiṃ||
A thousand tongues sing your praises. Saying this, the Lord of Lakshmi embraces him.
sanakādika brahmādi munīsā| nārada sārada sahita ahīsā||
Sanak and his brothers, Brahma and the great sages, Narada, Sarada, and the serpent-king Shesha.
jama kubera digapāla jahā~ te| kabi kobida kahi sake kahā~ te||
Where Yama and Kubera, the guardians of the quarters, originate; how could poets and scholars ever hope to describe it?
tuma upakāra sugrīvahiṃ kīnhā| rāma milāya rāja pada dīnhā||16||
You did a great favor to Sugriva, by uniting him with Rama, you bestowed upon him the throne.
tumharo maṃtra vibhīṣana mānā| laṃkeśvara bhaye saba jaga jānā||
Vibhishana accepted your counsel, and the whole world knows he became the King of Lanka.
juga sahastra jojana para bhānū| līlyo tāhi madhura phala jānū||
The sun is at a distance of a thousand yugas and yojanas; thinking it to be a sweet fruit, he swallowed it.
prabhu mudrikā meli mukha māhīṃ| jaladhi lā~ghi gaye acaraja nāhīṃ||
Placing the Lord's ring in his mouth, he leaped across the ocean; there is no cause for wonder in this.
durgama kāja jagata ke jete| sugama anugraha tumhare tete||20||
All the difficult tasks in this world become easy by your grace.
rāma duāre tuma rakhavāre| hota na ājñā binu paisāre||
You are the guardian at Rama’s door; no one can enter without your permission.
saba sukha lahaiṃ tumhārī saranā| tuma racchaka kāhū ko ḍara nā||
All happiness is attained by taking refuge in You. You are the protector, there is no fear from anyone.
āpana teja samhāro āpai| tīnoṃ loka hā~ka teṃ kā~pai||
You alone can contain your own radiance. The three worlds tremble at your roar.
bhūta pisāca nikaṭa nahiṃ āvai| mahāvīra jaba nāma sunāvaiṃ||24||
Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near, when the name of the great warrior (Hanuman) is uttered.
nāsai roga harai saba pīrā| japata niraṃtara hanumata bīrā||
All diseases are destroyed and all pains are removed, when one chants the name of the brave Hanuman continuously.
saṃkaṭa teṃ hanumāna chuḍa़āvai| mana krama vacana dhyāna jo lāvai||
Hanuman delivers one from all distress, who keeps Him in mind, thought, and deed.
saba para rāma tapasvīṃ rājā| tina ke kāja sakala tuma sājā||
Lord Rama, the ascetic king, is over all; You have accomplished all His tasks.
aura manoratha jo koī lāvai| soi amita jīvana phala pāvai||28||
And whatever heart's desire one brings, one obtains the infinite fruit of life.
cāroṃ juga paratāpa tumhārā| hai parasiddha jagata ujiyārā||
Your glory prevails throughout the four ages; your fame is radiant throughout the universe.
sādhu saṃta ke tuma rakhabāre| asura nikaṃdana rāma dulāre||
You are the protector of the sages and saints. You are the destroyer of demons, O beloved Rama.
aṣṭa siddhi nau nidhi ke dātā| asa bara dīna jānakī mātā||
You are the bestower of the eight siddhis and nine nidhis; this boon was granted to you by Mother Janaki.
rāma rasāyana tumhare pāsā| sadā raho raghupati ke dāsā||32||
You possess the elixir of Rama. Always remain a servant of the Lord of the Raghus.
tumhare bhajana rāma ko pāvai| janama janama ke dukha bisarāvai||
By singing Your praises, one attains Rama and forgets the sorrows of countless lifetimes.
aṃta kāla raghubara pura jāī| jahā~ janma hari bhakta kahāī||
At the time of death, one goes to the city of Raghubar (Ayodhya), where one is born again and is known as a devotee of Hari.
aura devatā citta na dharaī| hanumata sei sarba sukha karaī||
Do not keep other deities in your mind; by serving Hanuman, you shall attain all happiness.
saṃkaṭa kaṭai miṭai saba pīrā| jo sumiraiṃ hanumata balabīrā||36||
All troubles cease and all pain vanishes for those who remember the mighty Hanuman.
jai jai jai hanumāna gosāīṃ| kṛpā karahu gurū deva kī nāīṃ||
Victory, victory, victory to you, O Lord Hanuman. Bestow your grace upon me as a Guru does upon his disciple.
jo sata bāra pāṭha kara koī| chūṭahi bandi mahāsukha hoī||
Whoever recites this one hundred times will be freed from bondage and attain supreme bliss.
jo yaha paḍhai hanumāna calīsā| hoya siddhi sākhī gaurīsā||
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa, attains success, as witnessed by Lord Shiva.
tulasīdāsa sadā hari cerā| kījai nātha hṛdaya maha~ ḍerā||40||
Tulsidas is ever the servant of Hari; O Lord, make Your abode in my heart.
pavanatanaya saṃkaṭa harana, maṃgala mūrati rupa|
rāma lakhana sītā sahita, hṛdaya basahu sura bhūpa||
Son of the Wind, remover of distress, embodiment of auspiciousness. Along with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, reside in my heart, O King of Gods.
siyāvara rāmacaṃdra kī jaya| pavana suta hanumāna kī jaya|| umāpati mahādeva kī jaya||
Victory to Sita's consort, Ramchandra. Victory to the son of the Wind-god, Hanuman. Victory to the Lord of Uma, Mahadeva.
