Lord Vishnu

viṣṇu śoḍaśa nāma stotram

(Vishnu Shodasha Nama Stotram in English (IAST))

From Brahmanda Purana

The Vishnu Shodasha Nama Stotram is a sacred hymn derived from the Brahmanda Purana. It enumerates sixteen divine names of Lord Vishnu, each prescribed for specific life situations, such as eating, sleeping, traveling, or entering battle. By invoking these names, a devotee seeks the constant presence and protection of the Lord in every mundane and significant action of daily life. Chanting this stotram is believed to foster mindfulness of the Divine, purify the practitioner's consciousness, and grant spiritual grace, ensuring that all worldly endeavors are aligned with the ultimate pursuit of liberation and peace.
