କରୁଣାପାରାଵାର ଵରୁଣାଲଯଗମ୍ଭୀର ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧॥
Translation: O Ocean of compassion, as deep as the ocean, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord is described as a boundless ocean of mercy and depth.
ଘନନୀରଦସଙ୍କାଶ କୃତକଲିକଲ୍ମଷନାଶ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨॥
Translation: O You who resemble a dark rain cloud, who destroys the sins of the Kali Yuga, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord's dark complexion is like a rain cloud, and He removes the impurities of this dark age.
ଯମୁନାତୀରଵିହାର ଧୃତକୌସ୍ତୁଭମଣିହାର ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୩॥
Translation: O You who roam on the banks of the Yamuna, wearing the Kaustubha gem garland, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord enjoys pastimes by the Yamuna river, adorned with the divine Kaustubha gem.
ପୀତାମ୍ବରପରିଧାନ ସୁରକଲ୍ଯାଣନିଧାନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୪॥
Translation: O You dressed in yellow garments, the repository of auspiciousness for the gods, Narayana.
Meaning: Wearing vibrant yellow clothes, the Lord is the source of all blessings for the celestial beings.
ମଞ୍ଜୁଲଗୁଞ୍ଜାଭୂଷ ମାଯାମାନୁଷଵେଷ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୫॥
Translation: O You adorned with beautiful Gunja berries, taking the form of an illusory human, Narayana.
Meaning: Decorated with simple forest berries, the Lord masks His supreme nature in a human form.
ରାଧାଧରମଧୁରସିକ ରଜନୀକରକୁଲତିଲକ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୬॥
Translation: O You who enjoy the sweetness of Radha's lips, the ornament of the lunar dynasty, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord relishes divine love with Radha and is the glory of the Chandra Vamsha.
ମୁରଲୀଗାନଵିନୋଦ ଵେଦସ୍ତୁତପ୍ରହ୍ଲାଦ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୭॥
Translation: O You who delight in playing the flute, praised by the Vedas and Prahlada, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord rejoices in His flute music and is glorified by sacred scriptures and His great devotee Prahlada.
ବର୍ହିବର୍ହାପୀଡ ନଟନନାଟକନିର୍ଵେଡ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୮॥
Translation: O You wearing a peacock feather, acting flawlessly in the drama of dance, Narayana.
Meaning: Adorned with a peacock feather, the Lord effortlessly performs His cosmic and earthly dances.
ଵାରିଜାଯତାକ୍ଷ ତୁଲସୀଦାମାଵକ୍ଷ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୯॥
Translation: O You with eyes like lotus petals, wearing a garland of Tulasi on Your chest, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord has beautiful, wide lotus-like eyes and wears sacred Tulasi leaves near His heart.
କମଲାକୁଚକୁଙ୍କୁମ ଅଙ୍କିତଶ୍ରୀଵତ୍ସଲାଞ୍ଛନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୦॥
Translation: O You marked with the Srivatsa, bearing the kumkuma from Kamala's (Lakshmi's) breasts, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord's chest bears the Srivatsa mark and the auspicious red powder from Goddess Lakshmi.
ଖଣ୍ଡିତଶକଟସୁରାରେ ଦଣ୍ଡିତବକାସୁରାରେ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୧॥
Translation: O You who shattered the demon Shakatasura, who punished Bakasura, Narayana.
Meaning: As an infant and child, the Lord effortlessly destroyed powerful demons like Shakatasura and Bakasura.
ଵୈରୀମକରକୁଣ୍ଡଲ ଅଖଣ୍ଡିତଦାରୁମଣ୍ଡଲ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୨॥
Translation: O You wearing Makara (crocodile) earrings, who holds the unbroken wooden circle (flute/stick), Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord wears beautiful fish-shaped earrings and carries the tools of a cowherd.
ଚଲମଲକୁଣ୍ଡଲ ଗଞ୍ଜିତଶଶିସୂର୍ଯମଣ୍ଡଲ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୩॥
Translation: O You with swaying earrings, surpassing the spheres of the moon and sun in brilliance, Narayana.
Meaning: The radiance of the Lord's swinging earrings outshines even the sun and the moon.
ଶ୍ରୀମତ୍କୌସ୍ତୁଭଦାର ଵଲ୍କଲକମଲାଧାର ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୪॥
Translation: O You wearing the glorious Kaustubha gem, clad in bark, the support of Lakshmi, Narayana.
Meaning: Adorned with the most precious gem and simple garments, the Lord is the very foundation of Goddess Lakshmi.
ଦେଵକୀନନ୍ଦନ ନନ୍ଦକଗୋପିକାନନ୍ଦନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୫॥
Translation: O Son of Devaki, the joy of Nanda and the Gopis, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord was born to Devaki but brought immense happiness to Nanda Maharaja and the cowherd women.
ମଥୁରାଵୃନ୍ଦାଵନଵିହାର ଵେଣୁଗାନାମୃତଧାର ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୬॥
Translation: O You who roam in Mathura and Vrindavana, pouring the nectar of flute music, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord wanders in the holy lands of Mathura and Vrindavan, showering everyone with the sweet nectar of His flute.
ଭକ୍ତଵତ୍ସଲ ଭଵଭଞ୍ଜନ କଞ୍ଜଲୋଚନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୭॥
Translation: O You who are affectionate to devotees, who shatters the cycle of rebirth, with lotus-like eyes, Narayana.
Meaning: The lotus-eyed Lord loves His devotees dearly and frees them from the cycle of birth and death.
ଗଜେନ୍ଦ୍ରମୋକ୍ଷଣ କାରଣ କରୁଣାପରାଯଣ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୮॥
Translation: O You who are the cause of Gajendra's liberation, the supreme abode of compassion, Narayana.
Meaning: Out of immense mercy, the Lord rushed to save the elephant king Gajendra.
ଅଜାମିଲପାଵନ କାରଣ କୃପାଯୁତାଯ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୧୯॥
Translation: O You who are the cause of purifying Ajamila, full of mercy, Narayana.
Meaning: The merciful Lord purified and saved even the sinful Ajamila when he called the divine name.
ଵିଦୁରମନ୍ଦିରଶଯନ ରାଵଣବାହୁଵିଦାରଣ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୦॥
Translation: O You who rested in Vidura's house, who tore apart Ravana's arms (as Rama), Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord humbly accepted Vidura's hospitality and, in His Rama avatar, destroyed the mighty Ravana.
ଧ୍ରୁଵପଦଦାଯକ ଭକ୍ତକୃପାମୃତସାରକ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୧॥
Translation: O You who bestowed a permanent position to Dhruva, the essence of the nectar of grace upon devotees, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord granted the Pole Star to the child Dhruva, showing the essence of His grace.
ବ୍ରହ୍ମାଦିଦେଵଵନ୍ଦିତ ସର୍ଵମଙ୍ଗଲଵିରାଜିତ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୨॥
Translation: O You worshipped by Brahma and other gods, adorned with all auspiciousness, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord is revered by the highest demigods and is the embodiment of all that is auspicious.
ପୂତନାପ୍ରାଣହାରକ ଶକଟାସୁରଵିଦାରକ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୩॥
Translation: O You who took the life of Putana, who tore apart Shakatasura, Narayana.
Meaning: Even as a baby, the Lord protected Gokula by defeating demons like Putana and Shakatasura.
କୁଵଲଯାପୀଡମର୍ଦନ କାଲିଯଵିଷହରନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୪॥
Translation: O You who crushed the elephant Kuvalayapida, who removed the poison of Kaliya serpent, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord subdued the mad elephant Kuvalayapida and purified the Yamuna from Kaliya's poison.
ଗୋଵିନ୍ଦ ଗୋକୁଲାନନ୍ଦନ ଯଦୁଵଂଶଵିଵର୍ଧନ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୫॥
Translation: O Govinda, the joy of Gokula, the enhancer of the Yadu dynasty, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord is the protector of cows, the delight of Gokula, and the glory of the Yadu family.
ଶ୍ରୀରାଧାରମଣ ହରି ଗୋପୀମାନସହାରି ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୬॥
Translation: O Hari, who delights Sri Radha, who captivates the minds of the Gopis, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord brings immense joy to Radha and steals the hearts of all the cowherd women.
ନାରାଯଣ ହରି କେଶଵ ମାଧଵ ମୁକୁନ୍ଦ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୭॥
Translation: O Narayana, Hari, Keshava, Madhava, Mukunda, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord is praised by His many holy names, representing His supreme and liberating qualities.
ଭକ୍ତଜନପ୍ରତିପାଲକ ସଗୁଣନିର୍ଗୁଣସ୍ଵରୂପ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୮॥
Translation: O Protector of devotees, whose form is both with and without attributes, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord shields His devotees and exists as both the manifest (saguna) and unmanifest (nirguna) reality.
ଵେଦାନ୍ତଵେଦ୍ଯ ତତ୍ତ୍ଵରୂପ ସଚ୍ଚିଦାନନ୍ଦସ୍ଵରୂପ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୨୯॥
Translation: O You who are to be known through Vedanta, the embodiment of Truth, whose nature is Existence, Knowledge, and Bliss, Narayana.
Meaning: The Lord is the ultimate truth described in the Upanishads, existing as eternal bliss and knowledge.
ଶ୍ରୀନାରାଯଣସ୍ତୋତ୍ରଂ ଯଃ ପଠେଦ୍ଭକ୍ତିଭାଵତଃ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୩୦॥
Translation: He who reads this Sri Narayana Stotram with devotion, Narayana.
Meaning: Anyone who recites this hymn dedicated to Lord Narayana with a devoted heart.
ତସ୍ଯ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଭଯଂ ନାସ୍ତି ସର୍ଵତ୍ର ଵିଜଯୀ ଭଵେତ୍ ॥ ନାରାଯଣ ॥ ୩୧॥
Translation: For him, there is no fear of death, and he will be victorious everywhere, Narayana.
Meaning: Such a devotee is freed from the fear of death and achieves success in all endeavors.
