We meditate upon the Supreme Purusha (the primordial being), the Great God (Mahadeva).

Nandi Gayatri Mantra

We meditate upon the Supreme Purusha, the one with the powerful snout (Chakratunda).
तन्नो॑ नन्दिः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
सुब्रह्मण्य गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Nandi (the sacred bull) direct and inspire our intellect.
Subrahmanya Gayatri Mantra
ओ-न्तत्पुरु॑षाय वि॒द्महे॑ महासे॒नाय॑ धीमहि ।
We meditate upon the Supreme Purusha, the great commander of the divine army (Mahasena).
तन्न-ष्षण्मुखः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
गरुड गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that six-faced one (Shanmukha) direct and inspire our intellect.
Garuda Gayatri Mantra
ओ-न्तत्पुरु॑षाय वि॒द्महे॑ सुवर्णप॒क्षाय॑ धीमहि ।
We meditate upon the Supreme Purusha, the one with the golden wings.
तन्नो॑ गरुडः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
ब्रह्म गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Garuda guide and inspire our intellect.
ॐ-वेँ॒दा॒त्म॒नाय॑ वि॒द्महे॑ हिरण्यग॒र्भाय॑ धीमहि ।
We meditate upon the essence of the Vedas, the creator of the universe; may we dwell upon the golden-wombed One.
तन्नो॑ ब्रह्मः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
विष्णु गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Brahma guide and inspire our intellect.
ओ-न्ना॒रा॒य॒णाय॑ वि॒द्महे॑ वासुदे॒वाय॑ धीमहि ।
We realize the supreme Narayana; may we meditate upon Vasudeva.
तन्नो॑ विष्णुः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
श्री लक्ष्मि गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Vishnu guide and inspire our intellect.
ओ-म्म॒हा॒दे॒व्यै च वि॒द्महे॑ विष्णुप॒त्नी च॑ धीमहि ।
We realize the Great Goddess, the consort of Vishnu; may we meditate upon her.
तन्नो॑ लक्ष्मी प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
नरसिंह गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Lakshmi guide and inspire our intellect.
ॐ-वँ॒ज्र॒न॒खाय वि॒द्महे॑ तीक्ष्णद॒ग्ग्-ष्ट्राय॑ धीमहि ।
We realize the One with diamond-hard claws; may we meditate upon the One with sharp fangs.
तन्नो॑ नारसिग्ंहः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
सूर्य गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that Narasimha guide and inspire our intellect.
ओ-म्भा॒स्क॒राय॑ वि॒द्महे॑ महद्द्युतिक॒राय॑ धीमहि ।
We realize the Sun God, the illuminator; may we meditate upon the One who radiates great splendor.
तन्नो॑ आदित्यः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
अग्नि गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that effulgent Aditya (the Sun God) inspire and illuminate our intellect.
ॐ-वैँ॒श्वा॒न॒राय॑ वि॒द्महे॑ लाली॒लाय धीमहि ।
We meditate upon the universal fire, Vaishvanara, who manifests as the divine flame; may we be granted the wisdom to perceive his brilliance.
तन्नो॑ अग्निः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
दुर्गा गायत्री मन्त्रः
May that sacred Fire (Agni) inspire and illuminate our intellect.
ओ-ङ्का॒त्या॒य॒नाय॑ वि॒द्महे॑ कन्यकु॒मारि॑ धीमहि ।
We meditate upon the daughter of the sage Katyayana, the eternal virgin Goddess; may we be granted the wisdom to realize her divinity.
तन्नो॑ दुर्गिः प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
May that Goddess Durga inspire and illuminate our intellect.
