śrī āṃjaneyaṃ prasannāṃjaneyaṃ
Salutations to Anjaneya, who is the gracious Anjaneya.
prabhādivyakāyaṃ prakīrti pradāyaṃ
The one whose body is radiant and divine, and who bestows fame.
bhaje vāyuputraṃ bhaje vālagātraṃ bhajehaṃ pavitraṃ
I worship the son of the Wind, I worship the one with a tail, I worship the holy one.
bhaje sūryamitraṃ bhaje rudrarūpaṃ
I worship the friend of the sun, I worship the one who has the form of Rudra.
bhaje brahmatejaṃ baṭaṃcun prabhātaṃbu sāyaṃtramun
I worship the effulgence of Brahman, both in the morning and in the evening.
nīnāmasaṃkīrtanal jesi
Having performed the chanting of Your holy names.
nī rūpu varṇiṃci nīmīda ne daṃḍakaṃ bòkkaṭin jeya nohinci
Desiring to describe Your form and compose a Dandakam about You.
nī mūrtigāviṃci nīsuṃdaraṃ bèṃci nī dāsadāsuṃḍanai
Having made You my idol, having contemplated Your beauty, and having become a servant of Your servants.
rāmabhaktuṃḍanai ninnu negòlcèdan
I shall worship You as a devotee of Rama.
(nī) nan kaṭākṣaṃbunan jūcite veḍukal cesite
If You look with Your sidelong glance and bestow Your grace upon me.
nā mòrāliṃcite nannu rakṣiṃcite
Having listened to my prayer, do you not protect me?
aṃjanādevi garbhānvayā deva
O Lord, who was born to Anjanadevi.
ninnèṃca nenèṃtavāḍan
Who am I to think of You?
dayāśālivai jūciyun dātavai brociyun
Looking with compassion and protecting by giving.
daggaran nilciyun dòlli sugrīvukun-maṃtrivai
Having stood near, you were the minister to the ancient Sugriva.
svāmi kāryārthamai yegi
Having gone for the sake of the Lord's work
śrīrāma saumitrulaṃ jūci vārinvicāriṃci
Looking at Rama and the son of Sumitra, and contemplating them.
sarveśu būjiṃci yabbhānujuṃ baṃṭu gāviṃci
Having worshipped the Lord of all, and having made the Sun's son (Hanuman) a servant.
yavvālinin jaṃpiṃci kākutthsa tilakun [kṛpādṛṣṭi] dayādṛṣṭi vīkṣiṃci
Having killed Vali, the jewel of the Kakutstha dynasty looked upon him with a compassionate glance.
kiṣkiṃdhaketèṃci śrīrāma kāryārthamai laṃka ketèṃciyun
Having reached Kishkindha for the task of Sri Rama, and having reached Lanka.
laṃkiṇin jaṃpiyun laṃkanun gālciyun
Having conquered Lankini and having burnt Lanka.
yabhbhūmijaṃ jūci yānaṃdamuppòṃgi yāyuṃgaraṃbicci
Having seen the one born of the earth, overflowing with joy, and having given her a ring.
yāratnamun dècci śrīrāmunakunnicci saṃtoṣamunjesi
Having brought the jewel and given it to Sri Rama, and having caused Him joy
sugrīvunin yaṃgadun jāṃbavaṃtu [nnalunnīlulan] vīrādhulan gūḍi
Together with the heroes Sugriva, Angada, Jambavan, Nala, and Nila.
yāsetuvun dāṭi vānarulmūkalai pènmūkalai
Having crossed the bridge, the Vanaras gathered in a great swarm.
[yādaityulan] daityulan druṃcagā
rāvaṇuṃḍaṃta kālāgni rudruṃḍugā kori [vacci]
Ravana came, wishing to be like the fire of final destruction (Kalagni Rudra).
brahmāṃḍamainaṭṭi yā śaktininvaici yālakṣaṇun mūrchanòṃdiṃpagā
Having cast that power which is the entire universe, that Lakshmana fell into a swoon.
nappuḍe poyi [nīvu] saṃjīvinindècci saumitrikinnicci prāṇaṃbu rakṣiṃpaga
Go immediately, bring the Sanjeevani herb, give it to Saumitri (Lakshmana), and save his life.
kuṃbhakarṇādula nvīrulaṃ bora śrīrāma bāṇāgni
The arrows of Lord Rama burned warriors like Kumbhakarna.
vāraṃdarin rāvaṇun jaṃpagā
To slay Ravana, who possessed boons.
naṃta lokaṃbu lānaṃdamai yuṃḍa
May the entire world be blissful.
navvelanu nvibhīṣuṇun veḍukan doḍukan vacci paṭṭābhiṣekaṃbu ceyiṃci,
Having arrived with great joy to perform the coronation of the one who is the refuge of the three worlds,
sītāmahādevinin dècci [śrīrāmukunnicci] śrīrāmuto cerci,
Having brought Sita Mahadevi, [having given her to Sri Rama], and having united her with Sri Rama,
yaṃtannayodhyāpurinjòcci paṭṭābhiṣekaṃbu saṃraṃbhamaiyunna
Entering the city of Ayodhya, there was great enthusiasm for the coronation.
nīkanna nākèvvarun gūrmi leraṃcu manniṃcinan
Thinking that there is no one else as dear to me as You, You have honored me.
śrīrāmabhakti praśastaṃbugā ninnu [seviṃci] nīnāma saṃkīrtanal cesiti
Having served you with praise-worthy devotion to Sri Rama, I have sung the praises of your name.
pāpamullbāyune bhayamulun dīrune bhāgyamul galgune
Sins will be washed away, fears will vanish, and prosperity will be attained.
sakala sāmrājyamul galgu saṃpattulun kalguno
May all empires and all riches be attained.
vānarākāra yo bhakta maṃdāra yo puṇya saṃcāra yo dhīra yo vīra
O One with a monkey form, O bestower of boons to devotees, O One whose movements are auspicious, O courageous One, O heroic One.
nīve samastaṃbu nīve mahāphalamugā vèlasi
You are everything, and you shine as the ultimate fruit.
yātāraka brahma maṃtraṃbu [paṭhiyiṃcucun] saṃdhānamun ceyucu sthirammugan
Chanting the Taraka Brahma Mantra and focusing with a steady mind.
vajradehaṃbunun dālci śrīrāma śrīrāmayaṃcun manaḥpūtamaina èppuḍun tappakan
Having assumed a diamond-like body, ever chanting "Sri Rama, Sri Rama" with a purified mind, without fail.
talatunā jihvayaṃduṃḍi nī dīrghadehammu trailokya saṃcārivai
Dwelling upon my tongue, your cosmic form traverses the three worlds.
rāmanāmāṃkita dhyānivai brahmavai brahmatejaṃbunan raudranījvāla
The meditator marked by the name of Rama is indeed Brahman, the effulgence of Brahman, with the intensity of a fierce flame.
kallola hāvīra hanumaṃta oṃkāra śabdaṃbulan krūrakarma graha bhūta pretaṃbulan bèn
Oh mighty Hanuman, whose roaring sound like ocean waves terrifies and drives away the cruel-acting planets, ghosts, and spirits.
piśācaṃbulan śākinī ḍhākinī mohini tyādulan gālidayyaṃbulan
The demons, Shakinis, Dhakinis, Mohinis, and other evil spirits.
nīdu vālaṃbunan juṭṭi nelaṃbaḍaṃ gòṭṭi nīmuṣṭi ghātaṃbulan
Having coiled your tail, having struck me to the ground, and by the blows of your fist.
bāhudaṃḍaṃbulan romakhaṃḍaṃbulan druṃci kālāgni
Severing the arms and limbs, like the fire of destruction.
rudruṃḍavai nīvu brahma prabhābhāsitaṃbaina nīdivya tejaṃbunun jūci
Having seen Your divine brilliance, which is luminous like that of Brahman, and realizing that You are Rudra.
[rārori] rārā nāmuddu narasiṃha yancun dayādṛṣṭi
"Come, come, dear Narasimha," saying thus, with a compassionate glance.
vīkṣiṃci nannelu nāsvāmiyo yāṃjaneyā
Look upon me and rule over me, my Lord Anjaneya.
namaste sadā brahmacārī
Salutations to the eternally celibate one.
namaste vratapūrṇahāri namaste namovāyuputrā namaste namo namaḥ
Salutations to the fulfiller of vows, salutations to the son of the wind, salutations, salutations to you.
