Lord Shiva

श्री महान्यासम् - 7.7. पञ्चाङ्ग जपः

(Shri Mahanyasam - 7.7. Panchanga Japah)

From Yajurveda

The Panchanga Japah is an integral segment of the Mahanyasam, a profound Vedic ritual procedure used to purify the practitioner’s body and mind before the chanting of the Sri Rudram. Through the systematic invocation of Lord Shiva’s various aspects and manifestations, such as Vamadeva, Jyeshtha, and Rudra, the chanter seeks divine protection and the dissolution of karmic burdens. This powerful sequence serves to align the individual soul with the cosmic energy of Shiva. Regular chanting of these verses is believed to bestow spiritual refinement, internal balance, and the grace of the Supreme Being.
