ଅଥ ଦକ୍ଷିଣାମୂର୍ତିଦ୍ଵାଦଶନାମସ୍ତୋତ୍ରଂ
Now begins the Dakshinamurti Dvadashanama Stotram.
ପ୍ରଥମଂ ଦକ୍ଷିଣାମୂର୍ତିର୍ଦ୍ଵିତୀଯଂ ମୁନିସେଵିତଃ।
The first name is Dakshinamurti, and the second is Munisevitah (He who is served by the sages).
ବ୍ରହ୍ମରୂପୀ ତୃତୀଯଂ ଚ ଚତୁର୍ଥଂ ତୁ ଗୁରୂତ୍ତମଃ।
The third name is Brahmarupi (He who is the embodiment of the Supreme Brahman), and the fourth is Guruttamah (the supreme among teachers).
ପଞ୍ଚମଂ ଵଟମୂଲସ୍ଥଃ ଷଷ୍ଠଂ ଵେଦପ୍ରିଯସ୍ତଥା।
The fifth is Vatamulasthah (He who resides at the root of the Banyan tree), and the sixth is Vedapriyas-tatha (He who is dear to the Vedas).
ସପ୍ତମଂ ତୁ ମହାଯୋଗୀ ହ୍ଯଷ୍ଟମଂ ତ୍ରିଜଗଦ୍ଗୁରୁଃ।
The seventh is Mahayogi (the great ascetic), and the eighth is Trijagadguruh (the teacher of the three worlds).
ନଵମଂ ଚ ଵିଶୁଦ୍ଧାତ୍ମା ଦଶମଂ କାମିତାର୍ଥଦଃ।
The ninth is Vishuddhatma (He of the purest soul), and the tenth is Kamitarthadah (He who grants all desired boons).
ଏକାଦଶଂ ମହାତେଜା ଦ୍ଵାଦଶଂ ମୋକ୍ଷଦାଯକଃ।
The eleventh is Mahateja (He who possesses great brilliance), and the twelfth is Mokshadayakah (the bestower of liberation).
ଦ୍ଵାଦଶୈତାନି ନାମାନି ସର୍ଵଲୋକଗୁରୋଃ କଲୌ।
These twelve names of the teacher of all worlds are to be recited, especially in the Kali Yuga.
ଯଃ ପଠେନ୍ନିତ୍ଯମାପ୍ନୋତି ନରୋ ଵିଦ୍ଯାମନୁତ୍ତମାଂ।
A person who recites these daily attains supreme knowledge.
