భాగ్య సూక్తమ్

At dawn, we invoke Agni, at dawn we invoke Indra, at dawn we invoke Mitra and Varuna, and at dawn we invoke the Ashvins. At dawn, we invoke Bhaga, Pushan, Brahmanaspati, Soma, and Rudra.

We invoke the victorious and mighty Bhaga, the son of Aditi, who sustains all. Even the poor man, the distressed man, and the mighty king all proclaim, "May I have a share of Bhaga."

O Bhaga, our guide, O Bhaga, whose gifts are true, help us in this understanding. O Bhaga, bring us prosperity through cows and horses; through your grace, O Bhaga, may we be surrounded by valiant men.

May we be prosperous now, at sunset, and in the middle of the day. And at the rising of the sun, O bounteous Lord, may we remain in the benevolence of the gods.

May Bhaga indeed be the lord of fortune, and through him, may we also be blessed with prosperity. O Bhaga, I call upon you; be our leader in this life.

The dawns bow down to the sacrifice like a clean-limbed horse to its place. Let them bring to us Bhaga, the finder of wealth, as horses bring a chariot.

May the blessed dawns shine upon us forever, bringing horses, cattle, and heroic sons. May they yield abundant ghee from all sides, and may you always protect us with auspiciousness.

O Agni, if anyone wishes to deprive me of my share, though I am entitled to it, make him shareless, O Agni, and make me a possessor of my share. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.
