Liberation is attained by seeing Chidambaram, by being born in Tiruvarur, by dying in Kashi, but simply by remembering Arunachala.

I remember Arunachala, whose glances are filled with compassion, who is dear to those who seek refuge, and whose matted hair is adorned with the young crescent moon.

I remember Arunachala, the support of the entire universe, the embodiment of existence, consciousness, and bliss, who is surrounded by a thousand suns.

I remember Arunachala, who shines like a golden image, the granter of all desired fruits; O Lord of the gods, protect me.

I remember Arunachala, who wears the crescent moon in his matted hair, who is half-man and half-woman, and who is an ever-expanding ocean of mercy.

I remember Arunachala, who glows like a golden image, shines with the brilliance of a crore of suns, and is ever focused on the meditation of the city of the tiger (Chidambaram).

I remember Arunachala, who taught the enemies of the gods a lesson, who holds poison in his throat, and who protects all his devotees.

I remember Arunachala, who is endowed with the eight forms of manifestation, who grants the fruits of desired wishes, and who draws the devotees filled with righteousness to himself.

I remember Arunachala, the Lord of Ganesha and the gods, served by Vishnu, Brahma, and Indra, and whose lotus feet are pure and radiant.

I remember Arunachala, whose consort is worshipped by Indra and others with mandara, mallika, jati, kunda, champaka, and lotus flowers.

Remember Arunachala, the giver of prosperity, the Lord of Parvati, He who possesses the sun, moon, and fire as His three eyes, and whose lotus-like face is graced with a gentle smile.
